With the announcement of the ‘Liberator”, a 3D gun that can be printed on standard 3D printers, the interest in 3D printers has exploded. Sites have added 3D Printing tags, news sites have sprung up all over the internet and everyone is rushing in to stake their claim in the market. Alongside this virtual gold rush Amazon has launched it’s own 3D printer store.
The Amazon 3D Printer store is organized into 5 distinct sections. (3D Printers, 3D Printer Filament, Parts and Accessories, 3D Printer books and CAD Software.
Currently there are more than 46 listing for 3D printers in the 3D Printer section although many of them are the same printer bundled with filament and accessories. In any case, this is the widest selection of 3D printers online.That is of course until Wal-Mart jumps in. Stay tuned on that.
